Monday

God has blessed us beyond measure today. We feel like doing what we've done today has been such a blessing - we can't believe God is letting us be apart of His work here. From 1:30-4 today we served lunch and played with kids. It rained on us so we didn't h e as many kids as we had hoped to have but still a great turn out. Here is how you can pray for us from 1:30-4 (4:3-7 your time). Pray that we would have a patience only God could give. We have some tough kids. Pray that we would love these kids like God loves them. That we would continue to have endurance and enthusiasm. Pray that we would love on a little girl named Spring who is hard to love. Pray for a family of a different faith that are coming each day - that we would be able to communicate the ultimate truth to them. This family's oldest son is also autistic and pray we will be able to even communicate with him.
Tonight we prayer walked the same neighborhood that we worked in this afternoon and invited kids to the park tomorrow, our sports clinic tomorrow night, and park party on Thursday. We are so excited to see what God is going to do in us and our kids this week. Please pray for all of us to get deep sleep tonight and be energized for tomorrow!

Day one - where we are staying

We are enjoying our first day in Alaska! It is a nice 55° here. Overcast with a off and on light rain. We have enjoyed breakfast today and orientation. Rachel and Emilie are making sack lunches for us to pass out at our park around 1:30/2 today. We are excited and anxious to get going today. We wanted to share a picture of the church we are staying in. It is Calvary Baptist church. We are right on the port of Anchorage and next to the air force's landing zone!

Day 1 - airport

We are sitting on the airplane and one of the instruments has gone out. The think it will be fixed in 30 to 40 minutes at a minimum!! Please pray that they will get it fixed quickly!

Alaska Mission Trip 2012 - Our Team
